Parametric timing estimation with Newton-Gregory formulae
This paper presents a novel method for parametric worst-case execution time (WCET) estimation of loops. The method determines a parametric bound on the iteration space size of loops with both affine and nonaffine loop bounds in an efficient manner using a formulation based on Newton–Gregory interpolating polynomials. Parametric WCET formulae are used to support dynamic scheduling decisions at r...

Parametric worst-case execution time (WCET) bounds are critical in removing restrictions, such as known loop bounds, on algorithms for important applications such as scheduling for real-time embedded systems. Current parametric approaches have difficulties with loop nests that include non-rectangular loops, zero-trip loops, and/or loops with non-unit strides. This paper presents a novel approac...

In addressing the growing model sizes used in simulation environments, I examine adding machine learning techniques to the entities in a model in an effort to produce such side effects as emergent behavior. Distributing the environment in order to increase the efficiency of the simulation also plays an important role in this thesis. The added intelligence of entities may have some affect upon t...
متن کاملAgnostic G Gregory Surfaces
We discuss G smoothness conditions for rectangular and triangular Gregory patches. We then incorporate these G conditions into a surface fitting algorithm. Knowledge of the patch type is inconsequential to the formulation of the G conditions, hence the term agnostic G Gregory surfaces.
